Royal Ship Hotel - Dolgellau

The rooms are stylish and airy with double bed, great views, for instance. A good restaurant in the hotel itself. We have stayed there before and would come here again.

Greatly enjoyed excellent breakfast, great little and extremely pleasant room.

I was here for 2 nights and ate at attached restaurant with choice of meals. It boasted lovely views of the town and surrounding hillsides. Location: the hotel was short walk to the town centre and the Mawddach Trail and Cader Idris...

Clean property with nice design, and absolutely superb continental breakfast. Brilliant, stunning location in the quiet market town of Dolgellau. Also - next to the town centre, and the coast.

The location offers easy access to shops and eateries right in the heart of the historic town, perfect for exploring on foot. The family suite on the top floor features beautiful original beams, a spacious modern bathroom, and lovely views that enhance the overall experience.

Parking is limited to about eight spaces, often occupied by staff, which can leave guests scrambling for alternative spots. The room's cleanliness was subpar, with leftover rubbish not picked up and used mugs left unrefreshed. Such oversights left a less-than-fresh impression. The atmosphere was somewhat lacking in charm, feeling more like a pub with rooms above rather than a dedicated hotel experience. Some amenities were absent, such as air conditioning, contributing to an uncomfortable heat during the day. The distance to the breakfast bar proved unwieldy when balancing items.

great central spot for city walks and beautiful trails

I really appreciated how close I was to the New Precipice Walk, just a few steps away, and the breakfast offered a fantastic choice, making each morning good.

Staying here for a short getaway was a nice experience. The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful trails nearby, and our room had stunning views of the town square. Breakfast was hearty and set us up well for our day. a pleasant stay with lovely ambiance in the restaurant.

Cosy room, beautiful view, fantastic food. I loved the charming paintings on the wall, and the lovely view of the church outside enhanced my experience this a perfect location for exploring the area with easy access to hiking trails.

Our room was spacious and clean, with lovely decor and modern amenities. Dining here was a good experience too-definitely recommend the full menu!

Request the full Welsh breakfast. it looks hearty and is likely much better than the lighter options.

Our double room had fine views of the town square. It was great to have a bath in the ensuite. The breakfast was hearty, and we enjoyed the lovely restaurant atmosphere. The location was perfect for the walks we planned.
